No less than fifty distillers formerly called the Isle of Tiree home, but unlike other islands, Tiree didn't build a distillery again until very recently.
The Isle of Tiree Distillery produced Tyree Gin, and is the island's first legally operational distillery in 217 years. Eyebright, Ladies Bedstraw, Water Mint, and Angelica were gathered from the island's rich and fertile machair earth, and are all used in the award-winning Tyree Gin line.
The Wild Atlantic Ocean, which encircles the Isle of Tiree, is where the kelp is obtained. The island's kelp economy was supported by these kelp forests, which are the fourth largest in Scottish seas.
It is a must-have gin that is genuinely remarkable.
