Ballyvolane's Gin Distillers was established in 2015, by friends Justin Green and Antony Jackson. Both had a shared passion for food, drink, hospitality and marketing and it seemed like a great idea to come together as partners in the world of distilling. Using the whey of local dairy in Cork, together with their own natural water and mix of foraged botanical ingredients, Bertha’s Revenge Gin was born. The gin was named after local animal celebrity, Bertha the cow who lived just shy of her 49th birthday! It even took the gin from conception to final production around 10 months to process, roughly the same time as the gestation period of a cow!
Get to know Bertha’s Revenge Gin by trying the Irish Milk Gin, filled with jaunty juniper leads, followed quickly by the spicy and warming notes of cardamom, cumin and sweet citrus.
