I used to have one brandy and Phillips Lovage a day when I was landlady of a pub for 26 years. My husband and I reckon it saved me from extreme exhaustion and we then named our retire-men new home ‘Lovage’ as thanks for the medicinal but delicious drink. Delighted to find a supplier of Lovage after years without being able to get hold of any. And this one is a cracker. A totally unique taste, fresh and clean, and perfect with a good brandy.
Easy site to deal with, I found what I wanted and although it seemed an age before it was delivered with care, the packaging was brilliant carefully thought out to prevent breakages during travel. I am very pleased with the product I bought, which was Lovage, you cannot buy it anywhere and was very pleased to see a local brewer has brought it back and Tipple Cellar were selling it.
So happy we can buy lovage again since it was discontinued by Phillips. I’d say this tastes even better than the original. Great that it’s made in close proximity to Plymouth and I can collect from The Tipple Cellar. Thank you Forgotten Corner and keep up the good work.
When Phillps of Bristol went out of business and we could no longer obtain Lovage cordial I for one was devastated. This new brand is great and when I have my Brandy and Lovage I feel great. Thanks for making this cordial I love it!
Second time of ordering as love the lovage cordial. Easy to order and bottles arrived very well packaged.
The nicest lovage cordial I've found since Philips of Bristol discontinued their product. It's similar, though somewhat sweeter - but pairs nicely with brandy for a touch of luxury. On it's own the celery flavour comes through quite strongly, but that's far less noticeable when added to brandy. I'll be making sure I've got a constant supply of this one!
It tastes as it should. I bought another make of Lovage Cordial before and it was too chemical . This one is authentic.
My Dad loves a brandy and loveage on Christmas day so this is perfect. He was impressed last year that we had found some so this will become a regular gift!
