The first white rum to be distilled on Scottish soil, SeaWolf, was introduced on December 1st, 2016. It was developed by Gavin Ferguson, a co-founder of the Scottish independent wine retailer Vino Wines, and Mike Aikman as well as Jason Scott, the team behind the renowned Edinburgh bars Bramble, The Last Word, and Lucky Liquor Co.
Its name is derived from the native American term for killer whales, which can still be found off the Scottish coast today.
After intensive research and numerous taste tests, Seawolf was produced using a blend of champagne and rum yeasts. It has received numerous awards since its creation and continues to keep thriving.
